Lesson 6

We watched more movie opening sequences, we watched one that was done in a single shot.

Lesson 5

We brainstormed the ideas of what digetic sounds we would hear in our title scene. Some ideas included;

• Digging sound of the shovel
• Sound of the zippo before lighting up the cigarette
• Dragging the body

We also looked at the soundbible website looking for sounds we could use for our title sequence. Then we opened up the garage band software and made our sequence with the digetic sounds.

Lesson 4

We looked at what props we are going to use for the clip, not what the character needs to wear but the way it looks. For example, we are going to use a shovel, so it has to look very old and muddy not a brand spanking new one.

Lesson 3

We started to look at what camera angles we were going to use, we used a camera phone to get still image previews of how the shots looked like. The shot i particulary liked was the shot of kyle pulling the bag. x

Lesson 2 part 2

After looking at example opening sequences, we discussed our idea for the opening sequence in front of the class. We discussed that it would be some sort of burial scene, with kyle burying the body, using a wide vatriety of shots, maybe an arm flopping out of a bag. Also we said that we could put a bit of clear glass over the camera lense and chuck earth on it to end the scene.

Lesson 2

We looked at example movie title sequences such as se7en, Fight club, Payback and coroline. Also we are looking at more examples of opening sequences.

Lesson 1

We got given a choice on whether to do the video or the print task for our coursework. I chose the video task. We got into groups of 4 and got told what the brief was. we briefly planned out our idea

Magazine Contents Page

Started the magazine contents page today, looked at some magazines for some ideas, there area few ideas stuck in my head. I would probably end up finishing this at home.

i managed to the get the memory card out thankfully so i cropped my picture using paint as i dont have photoshop installed but the final product stilll looks half decent. i hope to add some other features onto my front cover.

I decided to use publisher for my cover because i found it way too confusing using the macs. I have pretty much finished it but all i need is the picture on my cover. I have already taken the picture but disaster struck, my SD memory card got stuck in my laptop so i have to get it out somehow, it was a quality picture as well and i don't think i would be able to take it again. The cover is looking good, i hope i can get the picture on it by next tuesday.
