Editing
After we cut all of our shots into one movie we started to add text, sound effects, music and a film name. For the text we decided to use a red colour to go with the 'horror' and 'twisted' theme to the movie, we are still unsure with what font to use but for the moment we are using the 'a cold night for alligators.' We installed this font from 'dafont.com', however we believe that we will change this font for our movie in the final draft. For the sound effects, we added footsteps approaching the car. This was at the start on the black screen, to make the screen look like the boot of the car and foot steps approaching it so then the character opens it, that's when the main clip starts. We also added the sound of a ringing telephone to the clip when the character's phone rings. We timed the ringing so that when the character answers the phone, the ringing stops. For the music we decided to have the song 'What A Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong as a contrapunctual piece of music. We used it deliberately as songs like is usually used in happy and humour films but our movie is about a man burrying a body which should not usually have happy music. When the main character answers his phone he turns off the stereo because he cannot hear the person on the other side of the phone, at this point when he turns the stereo off the music turns off as well which then we can hear the dialogue. We did this because we wanted the audience to think the music is non digetic but when he turns the stereo off it makes it seem the music is digetic as it is played form the stereo. We decided to name the film 'Deviance' because it means an abnormal state of mind. This word basically defines our character, he just killed someone and listening to happy music when burrying the body.

Filming
We spent 3 days altogether filming the video, 2 of those days, we did not get much done mainly because of the loss of light but on the last day we decided to start filming earlier in the day to make sure we could film the whole video before it got dark and thankfully we did manage it.

Lesson 7 Plan
We started to plan our movie title sequences. On the location aspect, we decided to film just outside Kyle's house where there is a dull looking field with trees surrounding it, we thought this would be an ideal location for our burial scene as dead bodies tend to be burried in these locations. The props we decided to use to film with Jake's iPhone because his camera produces high quality images and we thought that it is just as good as the school cameras. Other props we decided to use were, a car so we can film Kyle picking the body out of the boot and we need the car to film Kyle inside it as well when he recieves a phone call. Another prop we decided to use is a shovel for when Kyle will dig up a bit of ground and burry the body. We also decided that we will use a zippo lighter and a cigarette so we can film and extreme close up of Kyle lighting the cigarette up. For the main character's costume(Kyle) we decided we would dress him up smartly, with black trousers and smart shoes and a smart jacket so it gives him the typical gangster/killer look. We also decided we will use fake blood on kyle's arms and face so it looks like he just killed some one. Finally we wrote a brief script for when the main character talks to his wife and daughter via his phone inside the car. These are all based on the mise-en-scene micro element.
